When we are in the vicinity and want a quick bite to eat, we like this place
This place is relatively clean for Vietnamese restaurants.
We have eaten here a few times. Initially since our hotel was near and thereafter a few times.
We have tried all of their main dishes.
I think we least least like the wanton soup (港式云吞面).
Aside from the ingredients, the broth seems a little different from what we are accustomed. We think this might be either attributed to the taste of the pork and its bones, different bones used, or different type of shrimp shells. We have also been told there since that Vietnamese often use dried sea slugs instead of dried flounder (味全大地鱼) in the bouillon.
Anyways, the taste is fine and better than other places we tried in the area, similarly priced and more expensive.
The dish we like best is their variation of Cha Ka Tieu (stir-fried vermicelli with pork) although they seem to use a mix of ground pork and pork shoulder (for their mince) rather than pork belly which is how we have traditionally had this.
They serve this with a small wanton soup with a couple of wantons.
